Love the Krishna’s way

Krishna’s way of loving is different. Krishna’s love is eternal, its unlimited, it’s unbounded and it is unexplainable. Love to him and love for him is governed by your clear heart. The clearer your heart is, the near he is to you. If your mind if full of dirt and garbage, how can you feel his love. A clean heart is the criterion.

If you remember the famous incident of the Mahabharata, where Draupadi was insulted in front of the whole kingdom of Kauravas during Mahabharata (Incident of Cheerharana during Hindu epic Mahabharata). You will definitely recall that her pride was saved by Krishna. There is a very cute hidden fact deeply buried in this incident which indicates towards Krishna’s way of loving. That fact is so beautiful and lovely that if you could only understand and implement that one fact in your life, you would lead to him without any obstacles. Krishna says that is how you should love, that is how you should pray. The incident is like this:

Draupadi’s (The pandava queen) pride was getting insulted by Dushasana since Yudhishtara (The Pandava king) had lost her in the game of Chausara against Kauravas. Draupadi was crying and shouting for help but nobody in the whole kingdom could help her. Everybody had their own reasons for it. That kingdom contained few of the most powerful men in the history of India however nobody could show their virility to help her. Finally she realized that only one power could help her from that trouble and that is Krishna – the God, the only MAN. She started to pray to him to come and help her. But before Krishna arrived to help and save her, a long time had passed. The time went by.

After few days, she went to Krishna and asked him “Why did you take so much time to come to save me? Don’t you care for me and my respect Krishna?”. I was being indignified in front of so many people.

Krishna replied, “Hey Draupadi, Do you remember the name by which you were calling me.” She replied “Dwarkadish”. Krishna said, “This is the answer to your question. You had called me from Dwarka, which is quite far. Had you called me by ‘Ghatghatkewasi’, I could have been there in no time. It is not that I am far from you. It depends on how you think I am. If you think, I am far then I am far. If you think, I am everywhere, then I am everywhere for you.”

The story might be symbolic but is a good indication of how you should love Krishna; in the purest form and with absolute trust.

I can't digest Krishna's reply to Draupadi. If he is divine and a holy spirit then the name shouldn't matter... when one who worship him is in need he should be there.. he was been called with complete devotion. She was in trouble and that was the name that might have stroke her at that time so he should have been there. the question of being near or far doesn't arise at all. This is the question of true worship... which was true and pure.... then why does he have to keep a condition?

Its very funny to tread the above comment. Krishna_as he is the source of everything .........judges the devotion in the heart of his devotees......And that is why he gave the reply to Draupadi....

Hi Ratana and Puratan..it is nice we are realising the values and love for krishna. So, do u help the needy people on time? So. let us please the lord by helping people who are in need of that, it can be your dearest friend, colleague, me or anybody....So , when we get a chance to prove it we have to and help rather than exploring the epic superficially..no hard feelings friends...

Vivek :

The story itself is wrong or tweaked or must be written by someone who is not in parampara (Sri Sampradaya, Bhrama Madhva Gaudiya sampradaya, Rudra Sampradaya or Kumar sampradaya)

Rachana, it's not about playing favorites or laying conditions that need to be met in order for Him to help you. That sounds more like Christianity rather than Hinudism.

The reason He says that is because she keeps fighting. The moment she lets go of her robes/clothing and starts praying with complete abandon, she is fully surrendered to God. That is the moment He steps in and saves her, but until then, He is restricted by her faith in Him, or lack thereof.

It's like the story of the elephant king and the croccodile that latches onto his foot. The elephant keeps thinking that he's fighting the croccodile, that he is strong and powerful; until the moment he gets so tired that all he can do is cry out God's name. THAT is the moment God comes to save him. Why? It's not that he hates Draupadi/the elephant/anyone, it is to rid you of your ego.

I know this may sound a little ludicrous but you have to look at it in context. As Hindus, our ultimate goal in life is to reach moksha, a state where we are once again one with God. We need to be rid of the deeds (Karma) our souls have collected over time BECAUSE of our egos.

The moment man let's God direct him and guide him, by ridding himself of ego, that's when he is ready to listen and understand that God is within him, that he is EVERYWHERE; meaning - have ALL the faith in the world that He will come save you.

The point of all of this, God does what he does to teach us the truth and in ways that help us see Him. Don't be misguided by preconceived notions of what should have happend. Know that God is all-knowing and all-powerful and for your sake, don't let your faith waiver.

this story tells us that there is no need to search for god in temples or other holy places. for those who beleave him as a vigraha or an unrecognizable strength, thats krishna for them. but he is present inside us. we just need to feel him. he is in our heart beat, in our smile, in our sorrows, in our tears.. when you feel every ways are closed and no chance to escape just take a deep breath, ask the supreme soul inside you to lead. then we can feel krishna as a friend, a lover who holds your hand walks with you to happiness.
just feel it, its devine.

This story ( event) is much more than a magical rescue of Draupadi By Krishna.
One has to read the powerful conversations that took place in the assembly hall and especially the The question asked by Draupadi.. Who lost first?"...
