Black suffices all colors

How many of you know Krishna was black, I mean, had a dark complexion? Has anybody ever given a thought about it?

Black is the color of Depth. Black is the color of the Sea. All the colors in this world originate from white and end in black. Black and white define the two ends of the color line; like two shores of a sea. Black is one extreme and white is another.

Fill some water in a glass or a bucket. Try to find the color of the water. Any answers? White Or Transparent? Both are correct. Then fill some water in a tank, and then in bigger tank and onwards. Do you notice any difference in the color? Well, the color doesn’t change. But as we add more and more depth to the level of water, the color shade slide towards darkness. If you check out the water in a sea or a river, it appears dark. That’s how it is. Well some will say that water in the sea or river appears blue; true. But that blue is the reflection of the Sky in the water. Presume, there is no sky, or if you are looking at the color of the sea during night, then most of them will agree. It appears completely dark, totally black.

Black relates to two major entities; Depth and Veil or Mask. Let’s talk about how black relates to veil. Black is the color of covering, masking. It covers everything. You can hide anything and everything in black. A beautiful metaphor exists in relation to the sea and the darkness. Sea also acts like a veil or cover. Everything can be stored and hidden in sea. There is no limit to its length, breadth and depth. It seems to be touching horizons.

Associating Krishna with black color has some actual meaning behind it. Whosoever has associated Krishna with the black color has done the right job. Krishna’s beauty is eternal and deep. The smile that you can see on his face is not just existent on his face, it is coming from his heart, it is enrooted still deeper and comes from his soul. His expressions and emotions are coming from his soul. Every word or expression coming from Krishna is not trivial; it has real immeasurable depth associated with it. Due to this reason, Krishna’s face appears dark. Hence, Krishna is called Sanwara. If you look at your expressions with an unbiased view, you will find that most of your expressions are momentary, depthless and hollow. They don’t have any life in them. You laugh because you want to show somebody that you are laughing. You cry because you feel that crying out will make you feel lighter against some incident. Try to feel your feelings. See if there is any soul breathing in them or not. Soul less body is a dead body. It’s a graveyard here. We are all trying to become good actors. We never show what we feel. We always show something else. Be realistic, learn to breathe. That will make you simple. You are currently very complicated. Learn to live and live to learn. Both are equally important!!

Hi just wanna to clarify some things Krishna hasn't got a black complexion (you know the kind of color which is existing in this material world) it is a more specific color his complexion is a blue complexion but a blue which can be compared to a rainy cloud( just look upon the clouds when it is going to rain:))...euh anyway like your interpretation on his color but as said in the Brahma-Sahmita(if I am right!)he has got a blueish skin complexion!!!but generally we call him black to make it fast!!!(i don't know if it an be said because my first language is French so sorry if there are some spelling mistakes)HARE KRISHNA!

The name Krishna literally means "black, dark-blue". My Guru explained that in India (as in Ethiopia) blue is considered light-black and that black is the darkest shade of blue. Krishna's black color may refer to the historical figure's actual complexion. It is no secret that people with extremely dark skin can exhibit a bluish sheen. My cousin had an uncle on his father's side of the family who was so black, they called him "Blue". The first person I saw when I visited India the first time was an airport guard who was also so black that he was blue. He was so blue, in fact, that his visual impact was one that I never forgot. This impact may indeed be why the name Krishna, which means "black," is also interpreted as "all attractive," because such a complexion is so visual commanding. Obviously we can ascribe to many different kinds of philosophical and spiritual reasons why Lord Krishna is depicted as black or blue, but all of it seems to be a rather shallow and transparent attempt by dominant classes to avoid believing that he might actually have been black. I am not saying he was a black African. He was a black Indian. The original inhabitants of India, India's indigenous people, were black people. Krishna was not an Aryan. That's all. Accept it and get over it. The true God dwells within anyway, in the dark, lustrous void of the heart of consciousness where love dwells and light arises as the manifest expression of this material universe. That is Krishna. Allusions to rainclouds, however sweetly poetic, while conveying a devotional sentiment, miss the point entirely if taken literally. Radharani, Krishna was black.

I agree on many instances with Robert (Yashomati Maiya se bole Nandlala, Radha kyun gori mein kyun kaala.) Mohit, since you are interested in Lord Krishna, have you ever thought why Arjun means white. Interesting that the Gita is a dialogue between Black (Krishna) and Arjun (White).

Krishna is whatever colour we want to see.....Krishna himself has said that He appears in the form the devotee wishes to see Him....its the devotion which is important to Him!!!

As has been previously stated, The Bhagavad Gita is a story between Krsna (black) and Arjun-a (white). In the orient and east Africa, the cradle(s) of civilization, the letter K is usually a root for blacK. Egypt was called Kemet, and the biblical Ham is actually KHAM. It is likely that the battle's in the Gita, were between two peoples that we now know as DRAVIDIANS and AARYANS. Two peoples that eventually would distinguish as Black and White. This is 50k years ago btw, when EVERYONE was black, as whiteness as a skin color is apx. 6k years old, the lord is Black of black, all his children are black, it is only maya that makes the apearance of whiteness a perceivable thing, it is all black, everything.

Herodotus,Arrian, and Megathenes all stated the original inhabitants of India were black or like that of the Ethiopia. Herodotus even states India is a second Ethiopia. The fact Krishna me have been a human being of dark complexion deified is not surprising at all. The Dravidians and Andamanese are also genetically related to one another, and genetic analysis has confirmed they are the oldest inhabitants of India. The Indo-Ayrans Persians in the north are recent arrivals to India.

Also interesting is that Ma'at the Egyptian religion as i call it and Sanatana Dharma share some come motifs. Snake, cow, river, dwarf, and animal worship is common in both and seem to share a special relationship. Also If you look at Africa and India, Saudi Arabia sits in between the to like a bridge. History has shown their was black African activity in Yemen during the kingdoms of Saba,Thamud, and Himyar. Which also had a bull deity they worshipped called Almaqah.

So it is should be quite clear the peoples of Africa,India,ad Melanesia are truly related to each other.
